Safeguarding

Keeping people safe

SUNSHINE is committed to creating welcoming environments where children, young people and adults at risk are treated with dignity, respect and care.

Our commitment

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. We aim to prevent harm, respond appropriately to concerns and make sure volunteers understand the boundaries and responsibilities relevant to their role.

Raising a concern

If you have a safeguarding concern relating to SUNSHINE, please contact us using the details on our Contact page and make clear that your message concerns safeguarding so it can be treated appropriately.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services.

Our approach

Safeguarding requirements may vary according to the activity and the people involved. Relevant checks, induction, training and guidance will be explained to volunteers and participants where applicable.
